Who Is The Infant Adoption Coach?

I am Cindy Simonson, the Infant Adoption Coach.

I am a wife and the mother of a wonderful thirteen year old daughter. My whole life was forever changed when my husband and I decided to adopt.

It was 14 years ago when we decided to pursue domestic adoption. After two years of infertility treatments we knew we wanted to adopt, but I was physically and emotionally exhausted from the years of infertility treatment. I did not think I would have the energy to research all of the various adoption options available, and I was overwhelmed with fear. I thought I might become the next TV mini series. My dream at that time was to just sign up with an adoption agency or adoption attorney, and then one day get a call that there was a baby.

Being the “A” personality that I am, I began learning as much as I could about domestic adoption, my husband and I interviewed 5 adoption attorneys and two adoption agencies. We learned that most of the professionals we interviewed provided legal services, counseling etc., but we were shocked to learn that they all expected us to locate our own birth mother. That meant running ads, networking, screening etc.

We were lucky, we did our own outreach/advertising and we were quickly matched with our daughter’s birth mother. It was expensive and stressful but we were blessed.

At that time I was a corporate executive and all of my background was creating customers service programs. As I sat behind my big desk waiting for my daughter to be born, I kept thinking that there had to be a better way. There was a void in services offered by most adoption agencies and adoption attorneys. I began telling friends and families that I was going to quit my corporate job and start helping people adopt. I think everyone thought I was crazy, except my husband who supported my decision 100%.

I set out to create an adoption service that was everything I had hoped for in my own adoption. Within months I had started A Loving Alternative Adoption Service. I contacted adoption agencies and adoption attorneys and asked them if they had people who had been waiting a long time to be matched with a birth mother; I was successfully able to find birthmothers for all of the families they sent to me. It did not take long for some of the most reputable adoption agencies and attorneys to begin referring their clients to me, to get them matched with a birth mother. During the thirteen years I have been assisting with domestic adoptions outreach, I have maintained one of the shortest waiting periods for adopting healthy domestic newborns. I have had the honor of helping thousands of pregnant women decide if adoption is right for them. My clients have continuously told me that I am a breath of fresh air in the adoption process, I have gained the respect of some of the top agencies and attorneys in the U.S.

As the Infant Adoption Coach my goal is to share my years of experience and knowledge. If you hope to adopt, but do not know where to start or if you need a little extra hand holding and guidance I am here to help. My approach to adoption is different I believe that there is no need for desperation and that most people can adopt a domestic infant if they know what they need to know.
